Rs 150 Million Plan to Renovate Pabbi Forest into National Park
Gujarat: A total of Rs 150 crore was allocated to convert his Pabbi forest area between Kharian and Sara-i-Alamgir into a national park.

The project is expected to be completed by 2023 as initial work has already begun in collaboration with the Forestry Department and the Gujrat District Authority.
Spread over 38,000 acres, Pabbi Forest provides basic facilities and has restored its lakes and at least 16 ponds to develop into tourist destinations.
Shoaib Nissoana, then Deputy Commissioner of Sara-i-Alamgir, said from 2015 to 2016 that he had invested in a small park, a jogging track and several Established wooden bridges and other facilities.

He added that since visitors are restricted to certain areas, the protection and growth of wildlife is also ensured. He said rainwater harvesting is also planned and the national park will be provided with roadways, campsites, lookouts and other tourist facilities.
For several years, Pabi Forest has also hosted heavy bicycle races. However, in 2020 and 2021, we were unable to organize races due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
