Rs 1580M Publicized for Networking Project in Gilgit
According to a tweet from the official social media division of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunications, the ministry’s special media organization aims to invest Rs 1580 million in Gilgit to improve the network infrastructure.

Sazain at Rae Kot and Chalas are both within 100 km of where the construction works will take place.
The ambitious project aims to serve a population of around 300,000, including staff at the Diamer-Bhasha dam site and residents of the surrounding areas. The networking initiative, according to the IT Department, will provide residents with better and faster internet and mobile information.

The project is expected to generate $300 million in revenue by adding 80,000 new internet and smartphone users. This latest initiative is part of Gilgit Baltistan’s five-year development plan, which includes infrastructure development, agriculture, tourism, health, education, higher education, electricity, stone precious and precious stones.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has led to significant growth in the region. Further steps are being taken to support the Big Move goals as the CPEC project progresses.
