Samsung Constructing a Television Manufacturing Plant in Karachi
Prime Minister Abdul Razak Dawood, advisor to trade and investment, announced that South Korean electronics giant Samsung is also constructing a TV line-up facility in Karachi, which is a significant development for Pakistan’s industrial sector.

The advisor indicated that this factory will become operational in the fourth quarter of 2021 and produce 50,000 units annually.
According to the financial data for the second trimester concluded on June 30, 2021, Samsung Electronics recorded a consolidated revenue of 63.67 trillion Korean Won (KRW), a 20 percent rise over the same period last year, with the second trimester registering a 20 percent growth.

Memory industry operating profit increased 34% from the previous quarter to KRW 12,57 trillion as market circumstances improved.
Pakistan, which encourages local assembly and manufacture to reduce reliance on imports, also benefits from this expansion.
