Saudia To Distribute 40 Million Liters Of Zam Zam In Ramzan
Ahead of Ramadan, which begins next week, an official announced that over 20,000 positions have been reserved at Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mosque, the holiest site in Islam, to distribute more than 40 million liters of the revered Zamzam water to worshippers.
Umrah, a pilgrimage to the Great Mosque in Mecca, typically reaches its peak during Ramadan. The head of the Zamzam department at the Grand Mosque, Abdul Rahman Al Zahrany, revealed that around 30,000 Zamzam containers have been strategically placed throughout the site for pilgrims’ convenience.

To ensure efficient and high-quality service, the directorate has enlisted 1,423 personnel, as reported by the Saudi news agency SPA.
Moreover, the General Presidency, responsible for managing the site, has introduced 80 smart carts and robots to facilitate access to the Zamzam water throughout the mosque and its courtyard, which houses the Holy Kaaba, marking a significant improvement in the quality of services provided.
