SC Wants Allotment of 32 Plots on Parkland in Karachi Cancelled
In a case involving the unauthorized transfer of park land to some private individuals in the Al-Habib Cooperative Housing Society, KDA Scheme 33, the Supreme Court requested a report from the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and instructed him to investigate the actions of the investigating officer (IO) in the case.

The NAB chief was also ordered by a three-judge panel led by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed to discipline the IO and pay compensation to the injured parties after recovering their money from the accused.
Additionally, it was noted that Ausaf Talpur, the IO, appeared oblivious to the situation and could not respond to a number of fundamental information-related inquiries posed by the bench.

The IO’s ignorance of their bail’s status and the fact that no attempts were taken to have the accused arrested surprised the CJP. It appears that he was allowing them to apply for bail at the court.
Additionally, he noted the NAB officials did not make any attempts to submit a request to the court for the cancellation of the bail.
