Snowfall Warning in Murree, Galiyat Issued by Met

Wednesday, January 19, the Meteorological Department of Islamabad issued a critical warning about severe snowfall in Murree and rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They requested that the relevant authorities and administrations of the affected regions pay close attention to the current situation.

In the upper and central regions of the country, the weather will remain gloomy and cold over the next week, according to the reports. Rain and snow are also anticipated for Islamabad, Murree, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab areas.

On Saturday and Sunday, heavy snowfall may cause road closures in Murree, Galiyat, Nathiagali, Kaghan, Naran, Dir, Swat, Chitral, Astore, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Neelum Valley, Bagh, and Haveli districts, while heavy precipitation may cause urban flooding in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sialkot. Heavy rainfall is predicted to cause landslides in portions of KP and Murree.
