Strict Actions Against Illegal Housing Near Road
Lahore: According to news reports, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered the relevant officials to take action against builders and developers of housing projects that are too close to roads.

During the meeting of the Communication & Works (C&W) Department conducted to assess the future road plan and the department’s performance, the CM gave these instructions.
The conference also covered the topic of broadening the purview of the Lahore Ring Road Authority and changing its name to Punjab Ring Road Authority. In order to increase the effectiveness of road monitoring and bring about infrastructure improvements, the conference also resolved to create a mechanism for the road evaluation management system.

CM Buzdar gave the meeting the go-ahead to implement modern construction methods for buildings and roads, and he directed the employment of fast-falling laser levers to raise the standard of the roadways.
Furthermore, he suggested that the communication between fields and markets be enhanced and that heavy vehicle entry onto narrow roads be prohibited. Additionally, CM Buzdar advised making irrational financial projections for major infrastructure projects.
The conference was briefed by the C&W Department Secretary that Punjab will soon see over 1,027 development projects.
