Unapproved Construction Activities Banned in Kaghan Valley
According to media sources, the district administration of Mansehra banned commercial and non-commercial construction in the Kaghan Valley on Wednesday, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Tourism Vision.

According to a directive issued by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Qasim Ali Khan, there have been complaints over the unplanned construction of commercial and residential buildings that have not received approval from the Kaghan Development Authority. It was also said that all such structures are illegal and that swift action is required to prohibit them. The instruction said that building licences must be obtained from the Kaghan Development Authority prior to the commencement of construction.

During his recent visit to Kaghan Valley, Prime Minister Imran Khan observed mushroom development and ordered a crackdown on uncontrolled construction in Kaghan Valley, particularly in the commercial hub of Naran. In addition, the government has developed a plan to transform the valley into an international tourist destination. In order to attract tourists, it was also reported that initiatives are being taken to protect the environment.
