Unknown Attackers Strike National Resources Ltd Site in Balochistan

National Resources Limited (NRL) said its Darigwan Area site in Balochistan was attacked by unidentified assailants on Wednesday evening, after which security forces launched a swift response operation.

In a statement issued on April 22, the company said the incident occurred at around 5:45 pm. Security forces, including the Frontier Corps, quickly reached the area and secured the site.

According to the company, a clearance and sweep operation was carried out to ensure the safety of employees and protect company assets.

NRL said it is closely coordinating with law enforcement agencies and will provide further updates once more details become available.

The company added that it remains committed to the development and empowerment of local communities in Balochistan. It said more than 90 percent of the workforce at the Darigwan site belongs to the province.

NRL emphasized that the safety and security of its staff and operations remain its top priority.

National Resources Limited is a Pakistani mining company established as a joint venture between Lucky Cement, Fatima Fertilizer, and Liberty Mills. The company is currently involved in exploration of copper-gold and lead-zinc deposits in Balochistan’s Chagai region.
