Utility Stores Reduce Prices of Most Popular Ramadan Food Items
Gramme Flour and Dates, two of Utility Stores Corporation’s (USC) most popular products, will now be cheaper.

The price of Gramme Flour has decreased by Rs. 15 per kg, with the new price set at Rs. 225 per kg, according to a notification made public by the USC.
In the meanwhile, a 500 gm packet of dates will now be sold for Rs. 235 instead of Rs. 245, representing a Rs. 10 discount.
The notification also made clear that the price cut would take effect right away.
According to a USC representative, the choice was made for the benefit of the populace and to offer assistance to customers who are having trouble managing their household budgets.

Under the Prime Minister’s assistance plan, USC, which runs a chain of stores across the nation, is already subsidising 19 staple foods.
The representative added that all utility stores would have a sufficient supply of these subsidised goods, including the recently lowered amounts of dates and gramme flour.
The spokesman also disclosed that USC is selling additional goods at significantly lower prices than the general public.
