CDA Decided to Award Projects to Government Organizations
Islamabad: As the federal cabinet approved the modification of procurement regulations, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) decided to award future contracts to government organisations, according to news media.

Government departments can now use the services of other government organisations without having to put out tenders thanks to a change that the federal government enacted.
It was decided that CDA will embark on two massive projects, including the reconstruction of I.J.P. Road (PKR 6 billion) and the 7th Avenue Interchange and Srinagar Highway near Aabpara (PKR 1.5 billion). Also, it was suggested that the civic authority will approach the Defense Ministry to request the assistance of the National Logistic Cell (NLC) or Frontier Works Organization (FWO).

Only a government-run business can efficiently complete the work at the 7th Avenue Interchange, according to CDA. Also, it was disclosed that the government organisation will be in responsible of building the district court.
After the modification, a CDA official, whose identity was withheld, asserted that there are no barriers to hiring government agencies for the quick completion of projects.
