Islamabad’s 10th Avenue to Become Operational by 2023
As per sources from the Interior Ministry, the construction of the 10th Avenue is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter of 2023. The project has been allocated a budget of Rs. 1,480 million, which was set aside during the previous fiscal year, and M/s NLC has been awarded the contract for Phase-1 worth Rs. 10.286 billion.

The construction of 10th Avenue started in March 2022 and is scheduled to take 21 months to complete. It is worth noting that the 10th Avenue is 8.2 kilometers in total, but only a 5 km stretch from IJP Road to the Srinagar Highway is included in Phase-I.

During the 2021-22 fiscal year, various expenses worth Rs. 1,473.96 million were incurred from the total released funds of Rs. 1,480 million. This suggests that a significant portion of the budget has already been utilized to cover different expenses related to the project.
Overall, the construction work on 10th Avenue is progressing as planned, and it is expected to be completed by the end of next year, which would significantly improve the transportation infrastructure in the area.
