Remittances from Italy Extended to $601 Million in FY2021
According to the Italian ambassador to Pakistan, Andrea Ferrarese, “huge opportunities exist to increase mutual trade and investment between Pakistan and Italy,” and businesspeople and merchants from both nations stand to benefit.

During an address to the business community in Islamabad on Wednesday, the envoy urged Pakistani businesspeople and merchants to promote bilateral trade and economic ties between the two nations.
He demonstrated that economic, commercial, and cultural links between Italy and Pakistan are at an all-time high. Moreover, Italy has the largest Pakistani community in the European Union.

According to data, Italian workers’ remittances to Pakistan reached an all-time high of $601 million in FY21, making Italy the seventh-largest global destination for remittances to Pakistan and the first among EU nations.
