Work on South Punjab Secretariat Accelerated
Work on the south Punjab secretariat, including the construction of the chief minister’s office, has been expedited in Multan following the release of Rs 1.95 billion by the provincial government for the project.

ACS Zafar, speaking at the meeting, instructed that the construction of the south Punjab secretariat be hastened, stating that no delays would be accepted.
He stated that he would personally oversee building of the secretariat and that a weekly meeting would be conducted to monitor progress.
“This project on Mattital Road will cost 2,400,000,000 rupees and cover an area of 404 kanals. The project has received Rs 1,950 million out of the total allocated budget, he explained.

Mr. Zafar added that the project included the construction of the office of the chief minister, as well as the offices of the ACS, the extra inspector general of police, and the secretaries of fifteen departments. He estimated that the project would be completed by August 2023.
